Walk the house first
Before anything gets touched I go room to room and take note of what actually needs attention that day. A house that hosted a party last weekend is a different clean than one that just needs a refresh.
Top to bottom, right order
Dust and cobwebs first, surfaces next, floors last. Cleaning out of order just means doing things twice.
One more pass before I leave
Cushions straightened, chairs pushed in, towels folded the way you fold them. I want it to look like someone genuinely cared, not just like it got wiped down.
